No. 1 What the hell is Permanent Makeup

Hi there! I’m Jenny, the founder of Permanently Beautiful, my main goal as a permanent makeup artist is bringing happiness and joy to my amazingly beautiful clients. I love the feeling I get when I show then the results of our first session together and they cannot help but smile from ear to ear. It gives me that warm fuzzy feeling knowing their lives have changed for the better, what I hear from a lot of them though is “I just wish I considered this earlier”

I have decided to start writing a weekly blog to help spread the word about this not so well know and sometimes misunderstood category of beauty and makeup. The aim of this blog is to help ladies understand what exactly is Permanent makeup, why it could be right for you and the long list of benefits it can bring to your busy lives.

So, here goes, If you’ve been scrolling through Instagram, Facebook or even watching YouTube makeup tutorials lately, you may have come across something called “permanent makeup.” But what the heck is it and what’s involved? In a nutshell, permanent makeup is essentially tattooing pigment into your skin to mimic the look of traditional cosmetics. It can be used to define eyebrows, create the appearance of eyeliner, or add colour to the lips. Basically, it’s like your makeup routine, but on steroids (or perhaps more accurately, on a tattoo needle).

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Tattooing makeup onto my face? That sounds kind of scary.” And I get it – the thought of a tattoo needle coming anywhere near your face can be intimidating. But please don’t worry, the process is actually relatively painless thanks to numbing cream and the skilled hands of a trained professional, I have been trained by the best of the best, multi award winning Katy

Jobbins of The Permanent Makeup Training Academy (Find out more about Katy here, https://katyjobbins.com )

So why would someone want to get permanent makeup? Well, there are a few reasons. For starters, it can save you a ton of time in the morning. No more fiddling with brow pencils or trying to get your winged eyeliner just right – permanent makeup is basically a one-and-done deal. It can also be a great option for those with allergies or sensitivities to traditional makeup products, but in my personal experience, I get a lot of ladies who have either overplucked their brows and no longer have the shape and structure of a natural full eyebrow, or unfortunately age has left them with less hair or a paler tone to their lips.

But here’s the thing: permanent makeup isn’t exactly, well, permanent. The pigment will fade over time, so you will need to touch up your makeup every 1-3 years to maintain your desired look. And as with any tattoo, there’s always the risk of infection or allergic reactions, so it’s important to do your research and choose a reputable professional for the procedure. There are a few essential things to bear in mind when choosing your permanent makeup artist and wouldn’t you know it, I have a free guide on my website that explains everything you need to consider when choosing yours. You will be able to receive yours by filling in the short form at the bottom of this page. So, is permanent makeup right for you? Only you can decide that. If you love your daily makeup routine and the creative expression it allows, permanent makeup might not be for you. But if you’re looking to save time, enhance your natural features, or have allergies or sensitivities that make traditional makeup difficult to use, it could be worth considering. Just make sure to do your research, have realistic expectations, and choose a trusted professional to work with.

That’s all for now, folks! I hope this rundown on permanent makeup has been helpful. As always, do what works best for you and your unique beauty routine. I hope this has been helpful and may have at least piqued your interest in permanent makeup enough for you to want to find out more.

That’s me signing off for now,

Happy beautifying!
